Todd Glocke, Darin Troftgruben, Diggz Garza and Herman Abrams made the relatively short trip to Kiln on Saturday, and spent some time at the Broke Spoke – a bar frequented by many fans of Favre's. The men also checked out Brett Favre Field at Hancock High.
"This trip has just been so amazing, and (Saturday) was no different," Troftgruben said. "I know I'll never forget this trip."
The four Minnesotans are planning to head back to the Tom Brady Twin Cities area today – but don't be surprised if you see them again sometime down the road.
The group has made it clear they intend to make trips like these annual events.
There's been plenty of rumors in terms of new Minnesota Vikings jerseys running back Adrian Peterson being unhappy with his current contract, which may or may not explain his absence from the team's three-day minicamp back in June.
Perhaps some clarity was provided on the matter when according to Judd Wes Welker Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Peterson, in an interview with an NFL Network reporter while at the ESPYs last Wednesday, was asked about his contract. Peterson said that the contract rumors could "be put to rest."
