Minnesota Vikings Rivalry

The argument was made Tuesday in a filing with the Minnesota Court of Appeals. It is another step in the players' long legal battle against their four-game suspensions for violating the NFL's anti-doping policy. They tested positive for a banned diuretic in 2008.

Hennepin County Judge Gary Larson ruled in April that the NFL violated the three-day notice requirement in a Minnesota law on drug testing. But he said the Williamses had not been harmed by the violation.

Their attorneys say that ruling allows the NFL to benefit from violating the players' rights.

The Court of Appeals earlier rejected the NFL's Jared Allen request to expedite the case, so the defensive tackles may get to play the entire 2010 season.

Favre tells the magazine that enough damage has already been done to his body. The issue comes out on Friday.

The Vikings are still waiting to learn whether Favre will return for a 20th NFL season. His agent, Bus Cook, tells The Associated Press in an e-mail that he has no update on Favre's status.

Favre was scheduled to appear at the ESPY Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on E.J. Henderson Wednesday night. He has four nominations.

With the Bears struggling to find success ever since their Super Bowl Kevin Williams  run in 2006, it's no surprise that the Packers-Vikings rivalry was taken to a new level.

The fact that their once beloved quarterback now wears purple makes Packer-Nation bitter.

The Vikings football jerseys also have a tendency to sign former Packers players: Darren Sharper, Ryan Longwell, Brett Favre, and, most recently, Michael Montgomery.

Favre's signing with the Vikings had Packers fans around the world furious.

Randy Moss mooning the Lambeau crowd was nothing compared to Favre joining forces with the enemy.
